CHAPTER 1

                                               Monday

              NICKI

I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing. I turned it off and got up and walked out the door to wake up the twins. I walked into Riyah's room and softly shook her.''Riyah baby wake up.''Her blue eyes fluttered open.''morning mommy''she said stretching.''morning baby, get up so I can get you and your brother ready for school.'' I said kissing all over her face.''haha ok mommy.''I left and went into Zahir's room.''Zay get up baby''His eyes open and he got out of bed.''morning mommy''I gave him and kiss.''morning baby, go brush your teeth while I pick out your clothes.''I told him as I walked into his closet. I picked out his outfit and laid it on the bed. I walked out and went into Riyah's room, where she was waiting for me. I walked into her closet and pick out her outfit.''here baby get dressed and come to my room so I can do your hair.''I said.''ok mommy''I walked back to my room and put on my work clothes. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and curled my hair.''mommy mommy!! My hair!!''Riyah said running into the bathroom.''ok baby come here''She sat down on my makeup hair. I brushed her hair then did two french braids and a pink bow at the end.''thank you mommy''Riyah said.''your welcome baby, now go with your brother down stairs and wait for me t fix your breakfast while I finish my make up''I told her sitting down.''ok mommy.''She ran off and I finished my make up. Once I finished I quickly grabbed my phone and purse before going downstairs.''ok my loves what cereal do you guys want?''I asked walking to the pantry.''I want frosted flakes'' Riyah said,'' and I want reese's puffs''Zay said. I fixed their cereal and gave it to them. I checked my schedule and changed some things as they ate. The only thing I had to do today was Work with a client, take Riyah to gymnastic and Zay to basketball practice and go grocery shopping. Once the twins finished I rinsed their bowls and put it in the dishwasher before getting our things and leaving. I locked the door and got in the car, driving to the school.

I walk out the elevator of my job and walk to my office but I was stopped by my best friend, Sherika.''hey Nic''Rika said.''hey Rika. Do you know who my client is yet?''I asked''yea, his name is Aubrey Graham. I looked in your case files and he wants full custody for his two kids Audrey, 3 and Jordan, 6. And he is in your office waiting for you.''She told me.''thanks girl''I walked into my office and over to my desk.''Hi, I'm Onika, you must be Aubrey.'' ''yes that is me. It's nice to meet you.''He said smiling.''ok so you want full custody of your kids. Do you have a picture of them?''He pulled out his wallet and showed me a picture of Audrey and Jordan.''they're adorable''I said''thank you'' We got to business.''ok so what is their mother's name''I asked.''Maliah Michel''He replied.''ok so you guys got divorce after you had Audrey. Why do you want full custody with no visitation?''I asked.''because she has been beating them, her boyfriend has been beating them. She does drugs around them. Her boyfriend has been sexually harassing Audrey and I'm not letting them stay there with them anymore.''He explained. I wrote it all down with his other case files.

It has been a few hours and we are still working on the case. I looked at the time and realized I had to get the twins.''Shit. Umm I have to get my kids from school.''I told him sorting the papers then put them in the folder and put the folder in my purse.''Aright, I see you tomorrow Onika.''He kissed my hand and left. I quickly grabbed my things and walked out my office to Sherika's who was just about to leave.''hey I'm bout to go get Riyah and Zay but I want you to come over and help me with some things''I told her.''ok that's cool I go ahead and head over to your house.'' ''ok, bye Rika'' I left and got in the car and went to pick up the twins.

''ok guys hurry up and get in your practice clothes.''They ran upstairs and I go up to my room and change clothes. I heard the door clothes then Sherika yell''HELLOO MARAJ FAMILY!!''I walk downstair and into the living room where she was.''hey, can you go me a favor and take Riyah to gymnastic while I take Zay to practice cause I won't get them both to practice on time.''I said.''TT RIKA!!''The twins yelled running downstairs.''Hi little ones. We have to get you guys to practice come on Sa'Riyah.''Rika and Riyah left and I got Zay and took him to practice.

When I got back home Sherika was already back. I walked inside and went into the living room.''ok Sherika I need to go grocery shopping and then I need to cook dinner and work on this case so this is why I need your help.''I got my went into the kitchen to get my list of grocery I needed.''ok Sherika let's go get this grocery.''I said grabbing my purse and keys. We got in the car and went to Sams Club.''So Ms.Maraj, you have an eye on anyone yet''Sherika smiled at me and I just laughed.''No, not yet, how bout you?''I asked her.''Nope. But how about this Friday we go to the club,mingle and hopefully meet some men and see how it goes from there.''Sherika said.''I don't know Sherika. You know I'm not into the club scene, plus I don't want to meet a man that might be just a one night stand.''I told her.''well can we at least go just for fun. Come on Nika you haven't been to the club since you were 21.''She looked at me with pleading eyes.''But I have court with Mr.graham Friday and I want to spend time with my kids.''I haven't been able to actually spend time with Zay and Riyah since our trip to Hawaii.''well how about this, when you guys win that case we can go out to the club to celebrate, and then Saturday you can spend time with them.''She suggested. I sighed,finally giving in.''fine Sherika, I'll go but I don't know if he can go since he has his kids.''I told her.''well we'll talk to him tomorrow when you guys work on the case.'' ''Ok Rika, whatever floats your boat.''




                                             Tuesday



The next morning Nicki woke up extra early to fix breakfast. Nicki got out of bed and went to freshen up. She went to Zay's room to wake him up and found both her kids in Zay's room.''wake up babies, time for school. Riyah baby why aren't you in your room?''Nicki asked her.''I had a bad dream so I went in here.'' ''ok now go brush your teeth while I get your clothes.''They ran out and Nicki got out Zay's clothes, then quickly went to Riyah's room and pick out her clothes. Once Nicki had the twins clothes clothes out she went into her room and got into her work clothes. After Nicki got ready and did Sa'Riyah's hair she went and fix breakfast for them.''BREAKFAST IS READY!!''The twins ran into the kitchen and sat down at the table. Nicki sat their food at the table and enjoyed their breakfast.

''Guys let's go''They all grabbed their bags and were off. After taking the twins to school Nicki arrived at work a few minutes later. She walked to her office and Sherika followed.''morning Nika.'' They took a seat at Nicki's desk as they dicuss the case. There was a knock on the door.''come in''Aubrey walked into the office and greeted the two ladies''hello Nicki, Sherika''Aubrey said sitting down at her desk.''Hey Mr.Graham. So Nicki and I are going to the club Friday night and I wanted to know if you wanted to come.''Sherika greeted.''Probably. That's if my kids have someone to stay with.''He told her.''great, Nicki will text you the rest you need to know.''With that Sherika left the office leaving.''Ok so, Sherika and I talked about the case and we got that one thing we need to mention at court that will automatically get you full custody.''Nicki said taking the papers out and explaining it to him.''And what is that?''Drake asked.''Well you mentioned that her boyfriend sexually harasses your daughter and she lets him.  The judge will not like the fact of it but also the statement automatically shows how much she cares about the kids, which she doesn't, and the judge and the jury will see that she doesn't even care about them and you win the case. So we just have to simply state that and we win the case.''Nicki finished, sitting back in the chair and looked at Drake.''man, thank you. I didn't even think about that. I'm glad to have a smart, beautiful lady like you to help win my kids back.''Nicki blushed and Drake noticed, causing him to smile.''Your welcome. And I'm glad I get to be your lawyer, but I'm not beautiful.''Nicki said looking into his eyes.''You are beautiful. You're the most beautiful woman I ever seen to be honest.''Drake said grabbing her hand, Nicki started smiling and looked down. Drake lifting her head up making her look at him. He got her to stand up and sit next to him.''You're too beautiful to look down. I want to take you and you kids out with me and my kids. I get to get them today and I want you and yours to come with us.''Drake said''I don't know. I mean is that a good idea?''Nicki asked nervously.''Of course it is. Come on please. I'm not going to hurt you or anything.''Drake said grabbing her hand and kissing it.''fine, but where are we going?''Nicki asked.''We are going to Frankie's.''Drake said''Ok that's perfect.''Nicki said''So I have to go get them from school and I can come pick you guys up.''Drake said, helping Nicki gather her stuff.''Sure what school do they go to?''Nicki asked.''Um Audrey is in preschool, but she goes to Kindercare. And Jordan goes to Pearsontown.''Drake told her as they walked to the elevator.''really my kids goes there. Who's his teacher?''They got into the elevator and pressed the lobby button.''He is in Mrs.Karis class.''Drake said as they walked out the building.''They're in her class to. I know Zahir is friends with him. Now that I think about it he does have a best friend name Jordan, I just never met him.''Nicki said as they stopped at her car. She put her bags in the front seat then closed the door.''So I will see you later. Oh and her is my number I will text you the address.''Nicki put her number in his phone then sent herself a text.''Ok. And dress casual and make sure its something comfortable.''Drake said grabbing both her hands.''Okay, I will.''Nicki smiled. Drake then leaned down and kissed Nicki softly on the lips. Nicki was shocked but kissed back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. Drake wrapped his arms around her waist and pushed her against her car. They then pulled away and looked at eachother. Drake bit his lips and Nicki smiled.''I see you later beautiful''He gave her one more kiss then walked to his car. Nicki smiled and got in her car and drove away to get the twins.

I arrived at Nicki's house after picking them up from school. I got out and helped them get out and picked Audrey up. We walked to the door and I rang the doorbell. A few seconds later a little girl came to the door.''Hi mister. Hi Jordan. Is this your dad?''She asked him.''Sa'riyah what did I tell you about opening the door.''I heard Nicki say as she walked to the door.''Oh hey Drake. Come in.''She opened the door wider and we walked in.''I have to finish my make up but I will be done soon. Audrey and Jordan you can go in the playroom right in there.''They got up and ran to the play room with her kids.''Drake I want to talk to you.''She grabbed my hand and led me to her room. I couldn't help but look at her ass. I sat down on the bed as she closed the door and locked it.''So what you need to tell me?''I asked her as she sat down at the make up table.''About the kiss. What was that for?''She asked me.

''Well I like you and I've been wanting to tell you but I never do. I guess I finally got the courage to tell you, well in a way.''She finished up her make up then came and sat next to me. I grabbed her hand and rubbed it.''Really? Well what if I tell you I have been feeling you to but I never realized it until that kiss.''I smiled at her and kiss her, then pulled her on my lap. I fell back and she laid on top of me as I gripped her ass. She moaned as I continued to rub her body. She then pulled away.''Come on before they get suspicious and come look for us.''She grabbed her purse and phone then grabbed my hand, leading me downstairs.''lets go guys!''They all ran out the playroom and Audrey automatically came to me and I picked her up then grabbed Nicki's hand again. I helped them all into the car then got in myself.

They arrived at Frankie's twenty minutes later. Drake got out and opened the door for Nicki the got the kids out. They walked into the building and to the desk to get their Frankie's fun card.''Welcome to Frankie's. How can I help?''The cashier greeted.''Can I get fifty dollars each on two cards?''Drake said taking out his card. He swiped his car so it would go from his account to the card. She gave him the cards and he took them and walked them to the games.''Drake I could have paid.''Nicki said.''Well I wanted to pay so suck it up.''Drake said handing Nicki the card.

After an hour of playing games, the kids were tired and hungry. ''Mommy can you carry me?''Riyah asked whining.''Baby you're too big for me to carry you''Sa'riyah started throwing a temper tantrum.''Come on I'll carry you.''Drake said. Sa'riyah immediately stopped throwing her tantrum and held her arms out. Drake picked her up and they continued to walk but Audrey started crying. Nicki stopped and picked her up.''Aw what's wrong baby?''Audrey didn't say anything she just held onto Nicki. They continued to walk to the car. After getting the kids in and buckled up Drake got int the car and drove to Nicki's house.

They walked in the house with two sleeping kids and two who were still hyper. Drake took the girls and put Sa'riyah in her room and Audrey in Nicki's. The boys were in Zahir's room playing a video game. Nicki and Drake were in the kitchen.''I had fun. Thank you for taking us out.''Nicki said as she got chicken nuggets and fries out the freezer for the kids.''Your welcome. I had fun with you.''Drake said smiling at Nicki. She turned around and smirked at him.''You mean with the kids?''

Drake laughed.''Well yeah them too but mainly you.''Nicki laughed at wrapped her arms around his neck. Drake leaned down and softly kiss her lips. He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned back against the counter. Nicki moaned into the kiss as he grabbed her ass giving it a good squeeze.

They were into the kiss to realize Sa'riyah came into the kitchen.''Ewww mommy''Nicki jumped and look over at her as Riyah made a adorable disgusted face.''How long were standing there?''Nicki unwrapped her arms from Drake neck and went to sit down.''Not for long but why were you kissing him?''Riyah asked.''Because mommy likes Mr.Drake.''

''But boys have cooties.''Drake chuckled and went to go get Audrey.''Little boys your age have cooties, adults don't so he doesn't have cooties.''Riyah just shrugged and sat down.''Mommy can I play on your Ipad?''Riyah asked. Nicki nodded and got it off the counter and gave it to her. She kissed her cheek and went to check on the food.

Drake came back in the kitchen with Audrey in his arms. She got out his arms and went to give Nicki a hug.''Hi ladybug.''Audrey went to go sit down and Nicki got the food out the oven. Then there was crying. Audrey was holding her arms crying her eyes out and Riyah was playing on the Ipad like nothing was wrong.''What happened?''Drake picked her up and waited for her to explain.''Riyah hit me cause I want the Ipad.''Nicki looked at Riyah.

''She snatched it from me then stuck her tongue out at me so I took it back and hit her.''Nicki gave Drake a wet paper towel to wipe Audrey's face then sat next to Sa'riyah.''I don't care what she did. You do not hit her. Do you understand me?''Nicki whispered in her ear.''No. You just met her and you already like her more than me.''Riyah ran out the kitchen and upstairs to her room. Nicki got up to go after her but Drake stopped her.''Don't go yet, she'll probably not want to talk to you. I'll talk to her then let you talk to her.''Drake walked out the kitchen and up to Riyah's room to make her feel better.
